Reiki for animals
Traditionally, Reiki healing is better known for helping to heal humans. However, it has also proved very successful in healing animals. As it is a form of hands-on healing that has a “vibrational frequency” it is readily understood and appreciated by animals.
Animals absorb the energy quicker than humans so sessions tend to be shorter in length and you do not even have to be in the same location as the animal or touch them! This means you can help aggressive or terrified animals, or even animals in the wild!
Reiki helps animals with conditions such as:
- Arthritis / Joint Problems
- Liver and Kidney Problems
- Weak Immune System
- Skin Problems
- Recovery After Surgery or Illness
- Stress
- Behavioural Problems Related to Anxiety or Fear
- Nervousness
- Digestive Problems and much more
In general, Reiki brings about quick and significant health improvements. Sometimes, one treatment is all that is needed but that is not always the case. Healing is a process and the time it takes to heal a condition depends on how serious the condition is and how long the animal has had it.
For acute illnesses or injuries the sooner Reiki is given the quicker the healing benefits will take place. Chronic or long standing problems can require several treatments over a period of time.

Reiki is not a substitute for veterinary care but you can safely use it alongside other complementary therapies such as acupuncture or alongside orthodox medicine such as antibiotics to speed up the healing of illnesses and injuries of all kinds.
